  2. Hello Everybody,

I recently bought Juki 441, which is in quite great condition, its works very well and in perfect shape. I noticed, while using Biggest needle (NM 280, 28 Size needle), the needle start hitting with shuttle, it doesn't happens with small size. #Does anybody know, what is wrong with the machine?

I also noticed, when needle starts penetrating the work piece, the needle move towards right side ( within the allowable space in the center presser feet. Is it common with machine, which uses long needle?

Any suggestion to comment would be greatly appreciated

    FYI, I used 19, 25 & 28 size needle so far.

  3. Hi there,

I have adler 104-64, needle feed machine for sale. its in great order and very well taken care off. motor makes bit of noise while operating, but rest is fine and sew medium size leather to heavy saddle leather. these machines are very rare and hard to fond in the market and sold for 1000£+ depending on location.

Contact me further for more information and costing

  4. You will not find a cylinder arm for that price the cheapest I have seen the Adler 105-64 is $ 2500 plus shipping or you can get a new Cobra for $ 2695

Thank you for letting me know, unfortunately I am looking for something in UK. I have seen the machine in USA and they are comparatively very competitive for the price!

I wish it could have been the same in Uk

Try wimbledon sewing machines (london)ask for ray. Ray has his own sewing machine museum there and is very knowledgable. Have you considered a BUSM pilot. They are very hard to source but really are the mutts nuts. Ray had one for sale a few months ago. Not sure if its still available but however he do manage to get other machines. I have a pearson 6 and a pilot for doing harness and they both do what I need. Pilot will do from 1-2 mm to 13 mm and pearson 6 will do fence panels with right needle. The busm machines are quite hard to find here in uk but do come up from time to time. My pilot took me 2 years to find. Then just like a bus (can't find one and when you do another turned up a fortnight later) hope this helps you

Thank you for providing the contact details! I tired but no response. Do you know anywhere I can get the machine, dealer, or seller. who could give a reasonable offers?

BTW, I like your BUSM pilot, its looks like a beast!

    thank you

  5. Hello,

I am really new to the forum, but this place has been a grt place, to help me start with a leather projects & crafts.

after working for while, I decided to buy a machine and I need in terms of recommendations, feedbacks etc., in help buying cylinder arm machine. which is capable of using big thread and needle size to work with Bridle butt leather of 2 to 3 layer of 10 to 13 oz leather.

I am considering of buying singer 45k89, with alternative foot. But, i read so many post and articles on this forum about foot marks left on the work piece (veg tan/bridle leathers).

I looked around and I kind of made up my mind to go with adler 105-64 needle feed, which I believe can help in reducing the marks on the leather, since its a needle feed and i can grind the grooves on the feed dog!

I will be delightful, if member of this forum can help me in deciding, to which cylinder arm machine to go for ?

and where can I buy it from.

People who are willing to sell their adler 105-45 or any cylinder arm sewing machine within uk, inbox me with price and other details?

NB: I am not willing to spend too much, looking somewhere around 400£ to 500£

Any feedback or response will be very much appreciated.

    Thank you
