  1. no danger on the trigger being depressed. as you push the gun into the holster the front edge of the trigger guard pushes the leather apart until it reaches its destination fully seated into the holster and it "snaps"into place. I like very positive retention, but i hate thumb breaks and similar things so i like very deep definition, one of the reasons i really like kydex. No i do not wrap the gun in cling form, i put them into 2 plastic sandwich bags so i can reuse it for the next one and so forth.
  2. So everyone knows, Halitech sent me a personal apology even though he didn't have to. He wanted to make sure he didn't offend me in any way. I don't believe he meant anything derogatory by his statement.

Yep glock 19. The pattern is one I made. PM me your email and I'll send you the patterns. Everyone of these I made the patterns for. I just trace whatever I am making a holster for and then add for the thicknesses and then for the stitching and look I want. Whala! Also this is an " all in one" stain that I used and wiped off as I went to create this antiqued look. Some are better then others. This one is ok t I've made some improvements since.

thanks I use whatever is on sale!! LOL!! 7-11 oz I buy the cheapest stuff in the biggest pieces i can and use the thick or thin parts for different pieces. So like the backing i use the heavier spots and the front out of the thinner and better looking areas.
  5. i use the actual firearms if I can. I have purchased some blue guns but i prefer the real thing. I wet form by hand the leather after all the stitching is done and before i color it. Some times you have to dye it and then do the forming but thats rare. http://www.blueguns....stributors#ohio this is where you can find a local shop to get the molds from if you want to. Thanks for the complement.

    super good color bro
  9. Thanks for the critique I'm still working on the burnishing thing, i think i'm going to have to bite the bullet and buy some quality burnisher tools. The ones I use are home made and work but not to my satisfaction. I would appreciate it, and I'm sure most of us would, if you would keep your comments regarding your like or dislike of things not part of the original post, to yourself.

The carving and stitching look really sweet. Great job. You will want to cut down the excess around the trigger guard and front strap to ensure you can achieve a full firing grip before pulling it out of the holster so it functions for you when you have to use it. I really like that color what is it?
  11. Thanks. I'm really digging this leather working
  12. I just started making leather holsters. I have been making kydex ( a thermo plastic) for a while now. Check out some of my designs. Any help and criticism would be greatly appreciated.
