Hi all, I am wanting to color a few things but I am new to using the dyes and am not very good at it. I am wondering if anybody has had any luck using colored sharpie markers. I'm thinking the color should penetrate the leather but not sure how it would hold up and if it smears when applying something like super sheen. Thanks, Nick

Wall hanging piece i made for a friend

Hi all, I'm working on making a set of these place mats and I am new to using finishes and sealants. I know i probably wont be able to get them completely waterproof but I would at least make them resistant to dropped food and minor spills. I've read thru some of the posts in here and I'm considering using Fiebings Resolene, but I would greatly appreciate your expert opinions. Thanks, Nick
