I wonder how the 617 compares to a detective special. -

I've got a 2" sp101 but it's a five shot. Did they manage to get 2 extra rounds in basically the same size or is the cylinder going to be larger? -

I'm sorry. I didn't let you know this is a different customer with a Taurus. Yes, it's a 2" revolver instead of the 4" I asked about yesterday. -

OK. It's a model 617 7 shot Taurus. Where does this compare to smiths. I've got j through n frame, but the 7 shot cylinder has me a little concerned. Thanks for the help. -

That's what I asked the customer for and all he gave me was that it's a 4" .357. I didn't even know Taurus made anything in the k frame size. Thanks for the help. I'll have to get a model from him. -
Is a 4" Taurus .357 going to be the same patern as an L frame smith or do I need to get a blue gun for it?

First Attempts

Thanks for the advice mike. Camano's right, the last one's a hybrid. I was gonna ask about the stitching on that one. It was also supposed to be brown, instead of black. I think my stitching is getting better, but I'm not sure. That's the order they We're built in. Pancake first and hybrid last. One thing that's making the hybrid look worse is i glued A micro suede fabric to the body side and you can see a lot of little threads poking out. I couldn't figure out how to fix that. Again, thanks for the pointers. -
Here are some first attempts at some carry rigs. Top is a pancake for an XD. Middle is an easy on/off for an SR9C. Both of these are for personal use. Bottom is a hybrid for a 938 I built up for a neighbor. Any feedback or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
