  1. Hi.. Please don't take this in a harsh way, it is not intended as such... however, I think you're about $300.00 on the high side of what you would probably get out of all this if you placed it on Ebay.. Somewhere in the $75.00(ish) range sounds about like the top I'd expect.

Just wanted to give you my thoughts from experience on Ebay for something like this. Hope you see this as "helpful".. Best of Luck, John

  2. I wish I was experienced(skilled) enough, and had enough to do, to make the cost of purchasing GOOD tools and stamps from someone other than Tandy... BUT, Tandy has put the brakes on my desire for Leathercrafting period, thanks to them becoming Corporate Pigs, instead of a Profitable Company still LOYAL to people in the craft!! I did some leatherwork as a young man.. but once out of High School, Girls and Drinking made it not so cool.. So didn't get back into it until 20 years later.. Found the new store in my city that they opened after the old one had been closed years before. I became a Wholesale Club member (GOLD), as it was a nice way to save some money..

WELL... Tandy "obviously wasn't making enough money this way, so they stopped the initial Wholesale Club, and came up with the "Elite".. Gold Membership was/is $35.00 a year... When they started the "?Elite?" level, they essentially just increased the PRICE of Gold Membership Benefits/Savings and gave it a different name.. charging $150.00 a year for the "SAME" (or sometimes worse) discounts as they had been giving the Original GOLD Members... then, the $35.00 a year Gold Members got shafted, and now had to pay MORE for the same items than they/we had been paying in the past?

I contacted Tandy Corporate numerous times after their change... whenever a new SKIVER came out... asking them why as a GOLD member I was having to pay MORE than in previous years??? At first they told me I wasn't/Gold members weren't paying more... then when I cited examples, they told me that "their" costs had increased.. When I showed them 30 items that had been the same price for 2 years, but now cost Gold members more than it had in the past, and that now, to get 25 of those 30 at or near the price we had been able to, I/We had to pay the $150.00 a year and become an "?Elite?" member?!?!

They took the information I gave them, and this is what they did.. they told me "Sorry, that's how it's going to be.. If you don't like the NEW Wholesale Club Memberships, you can get your Membership Refunded...

Am I the ONLY person that has seen this/been impacted by this??? I guess what makes this worse for me, is I am disabled and unemployed now, and there's a snowballs chance in hell I can afford they regular sales prices, and I can't afford their $150.00 a year so I can get the benefit of pay affordable prices... I've asked if they would/could be willing in offering Military/Veteran or Disabled Membership Discounts, but Local Store Manager sent me to Corporate again, and when I got ahold of Corporate to ask, they chose to NOT return my messages(which were sincere and pleasant).., and on after 3 weeks of calling 1 time only each week, I was told that the decision for something like that was up to the Store manager??? So?? ANY HELPFUL RECOMMENDATIONS/IDEAS???? THEY WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!

    Thanks!! John

  3. Hey.. If they "retail" in Stores for $64.99, how much will you be selling them to us??? I am interested in a set for my Dremel, so please let me know at your earliest convenience.. Thanks! John

Looking for Christmas prestent for a leather worker? Look no futher. This is a set of burnishers that i have developed for a dremel type of rotary tool that can handle a 1/8" shaft. There are 4 burnishers and a stand that makes up this set. I use any hardwood i can find for the stands . I am using Alder for the time being. The buenishers are made out of ccbolo. considered one of the most beautiful woods in the world. It is loved by leatherworkers because of the natural oils in the wood. I made these tools because I know how much trouble it is to burnish the edge of a leather project. These burnishers can make the job easy and fun to do.

The burnishers are made to doa certain job and here is a description of what they can do.

    1) Single groove burnisher that can do leather from 3 oz to 11 oz.

    2) Double groove burnisher that can do leather from 2 0z to 6 oz

    3) Flat faced burnisher for doing wide areas like the welt on gunrigs or skirts on saddles

    4) Cone shaped burnisher that is great for getting into tight spaces and filegree work

    5) Stand made to hold all of the burnishers.

I have these sets in some stores here in the USA and retail for $64.99 I can put 4 letters on the stand if you want. You need to contact me for the letters. They are branded into the leather with mini branding irons that I have

If you want a set please contact me at leatherman1457@aol.com

Hi... It looks like you've had not offers... I recommend you take a peek at E-bay to get an idea concerning how much you could reasonably ask for the items you have listed. I do sincerely wish I could get $10.00 for some of my duplicate/older Crafttool stamping tools... Once you take a look at e-bay let me know if you decide to drop your pricing, as I may have an interest.. Thanks, regards, and hope I helped some... John

  8. Hi all and thanks for looking.

i was browsing thru my LW books and found these stuck in the back of one of them. Since i dont do any carving, i thought i would sell these to anyone that want ALL of them. i dont want any $$ other then $ 5.00 for shipping USPS Priority Mail. They will fit in one of the USPS 8.5x11 envelopes.

these templates are USED. I dont see/feel any cracks in them, but they do have some wows in them.

    descriptions are as follows T/B:

Craftaid # 2707. Alphabet/Monograms. apparently this one and # 2700 can be used togeather.

Craftaid # 2020. Billfold. i used a template like this on my first billfold in HS.

    Craftaid # 2700. Alphabet

    p1010009rg.jpg

this last one has no envelope/number. it appears to be a flower/lily of some type. Dont know if its craftaid since all of the other above templates have "craftaid" and/or the number embossed into the template. iac, its included with the bunch. this template has a size of approx 7 inches tall x 9 inches wide.

    p1010013bp.jpg

if you have any questions, feel free to ask.

Hey... let me know how to get the $5 to you.. Thanks! John

  9. Hey Holly.. a while back Alcoveshop had one of these they were selling... They were asking $100.00 and $10.00 for shipping. (I'm guessing they were going to send it UPS ground). No buyers though... His looked in a little bit better condition but he may have gave it a good once over before taking a pic. You can find his posting still up to verify mine..

I was not able to contact him recently to make him another offer on it, so it may be fortuitous that I found yours. Think about it, and let me know how much you'll accept for it. thanks!!! John

  10. Hey Richard.. sorry took a while to get back to you.

I'm full of it..... questions that is.

In purchasing 1000, are the bags set up either 500 zinc or 500 black?? Or are they bags of 500 mixed?? And... how do you accept payment?? Thanks!!! (AGAIN!)

    Regards, John

  11. Hi... If you could call me at 806-236-1962, I would really like to talk to you about the entire lot. During the day please leave a message on my voice mail with a number for me to call you back if I am unable to answer. I am very interested... just have some questions. Thanks!! John

  12. Shipping question on the #500 amount... do you think you could get a $9.95, and a $12.50(?I think), United States Postal Service, "FLAT RATE" box(they're free), and see if 500 of these would fit into one of the boxes?? Talk about saving everyone interested a boat load in shipping charges! The USPS offers these FLAT RATE packages, and they are 2-3 day priority!!! No weight restrictions!!! As long as the items shipped fit into the box, it only costs you one of the other charge depending on the package! Let me know if they fit, as I would be interested!! Thanks!!!
