About Me
Still somewhat green with my leather work abilities. I started leather work because I wasn't happy with available options for saddlebags that fit my bike(2013 Triumph Bonneville T100), so I made my own. I used absurdly think leather, and designed bags I thought looked quite appropriate on the unique style of my bike. They turned out great and the absurdly thick leather is just a rigid as when I made them some two years ago. With that, I moved on to simpler items, wallets, notebook covers, etc, made largely as gifts. I started making bags when I couldn't think of any decent Christmas gift for my mom; who's mom doesn't like something handmade by her son?? Then I made my way into custom molded leather, and kydex, holsters. I began selling these to friends, and only by word of mouth have I received a number of other orders!
This is just a hobby for me right now. I have two daughters; between them and my full time job in construction management, I have limited time to devote to this hobby, unfortunately...
Hoping to learn new techniques, ways I can do things better, and new project ideas to give me a challenge and improve some skills. I think the next attempt will be a businessman ready briefcase or messenger bag. Any tips you may have, please I would much enjoy you gifting me a bit of your knowledge!
