Hi all I am going to start making my own tack, what weight of leather should I be using for spur straps, bridles, reins and slobber straps? Also what is a good antique and top coat combination that will last and wont rub for working tack? I plan to be using either harness or veg tan depending if I was to tool is this correct for tack?
