This weekend my barber and I were talking leather and Sewing machines and he mentioned to me he had a Rex 800-2 Blind Stitch Industrial Sewing Machine in his storage that had been sitting around for a few years. He does not know how to use it, or what its used for and neither do I. Can anyone give me some insight on this machine and if can be used for leather working (purses, wallets...etc)? Thanks!

Thanks for your quick response. I don't have the tools to cut it myself, but if this turns out to be a reoccurring request for me, I may look into necessary tools. For now, I'll check out Packer Leather Tannery.

Hello everyone! I have someone asking me to make a get back whip for them in certain colors, but I'm very new to braiding and not sure where to find 1/2" leather strands about 72" long and in assorted colors? Any help would be great. Thanks!
