Brethen, I have been using Tandy's European Single Bends for all my work but they are out of supply here in Australia. Can anyone recommend the best quality tooling leather available? I like a really smooth leather back and front, perhaps a little artifical for some but that's how I roll. Thank you!

I have discover the problem is actually my own strength! I'm really glad that it's not the machine. I am getting an extention added to the handle to help me with this.

Dear brethren, I have recently purchased the Tandy Hand Press and the dies for line 20 snaps. I was so excited to buy this piece of equiptment but on testing I have found the snaps aren't setting properly and are really loose. I'm using the Tandy snaps and 1.6-2mm leather. Any advice I would be grateful for. Thank you!

Update: tried leather marking pen on Veg-tan works pretty well but you can't fully rub it out which is OK if your dyeing it a dark colour like I am. Make sure you don't push hard just mark it very gently. I need to do this as I have to stamp whole words.

Dear friends, I am wondering if anyone out there has a good trick for marking a straight line on leather so I can stamp straight without leaving a mark. I am currently using the edge of a sticky labels sheet which is working OK but it does leave some mark although after dyeing you can't tell. I would love to hear any suggestions. Thank you for all the inspiration!
