Hi everybody,

I was looking at conchos and synthetic rivets/spots and I was wondering witch one is best;

Silver plated, stainless steel , nickel plate, brass plate, sweet iron... What is there good or bad side ?

If some rust faster then a other one?

Are the synthetic crystal rivet/spot are all made from nickel plated ?

Where is the best place to buy good quality synthetic Crystal rivets/spots (mostly for out door stuff-horse tack) ? (I'm from Canada)

Is there a way to take care of them so they last longer time ? (synthetic crystals rivets/spots or conchos depending of the material)

I can tell you all of Silver plated, stainless steel , nickel plate, brass plate don't rust normal,,sweet iron is easy to rust(but if the plating layer is good,it is not easy to rust too). plating is the most important thing to rust.

what synthetic crystal you are taling about? do you mean buckle with stone? it is also need to have a good plating then it is not easy to rust, if not. can you send me picture so I can tell you more information.
