  1. Found this when i was looking through the internet . Orded one of each size . Anyone tested this before? Even if i won't make them exactly like they do . It would make it much easier to make a tapering watch strap . http://www.offerany.com/p-41665013199.html
  2. Worked great on horse leather .My vinegroon dye .Black as a cole mine .perfect .The smell is not so nice but reckons that goes away after some time .

  4. I have search the net for an english word for this . In Sweden we call it "narvsvärta" . Its' vinegar that i boil and then put a steel wool or something that will rust in it . It will stay in the vinegar for about a week . Then when i dye the leather with it . It becomes black . A reaction with the acid in the leather . What it's called in English?
  5. Thanks . I have order a bottle of that .
  6. Hi this is my first post in this forum. I wonder if you like to help me a little? I have done some straps from different kinds of leather. This i cow leather that i have dyed with some homemade dye. Made from vinegar and steel wool . The steel wool has rusted and when reacting to the leather becomes black. Only had a little of it so become blue. Then i have painted the strap in different leather colors. Now my question? Want to make the strap as wear resistant as possible . What shall i use as a top coat? Any suggestions? Fiebings bag-cote? Please click on the picture .
