Hello my name is Joel and I've been doing leatherwork for only about 6 months now, but I have been around it for most of my 33 years. My uncle was a leather worker and buckle maker. He made belts and buckles for people from all walks of life, even some very famous people. We had talked about him showing me how to do leather work, but he was in poor health and passed away before he could. My brother acquired a nice small collection of things and gave them to me, and I have acquired a good bit on my own. I'm slowly learning thanks to YouTube, Google, etc. This forum has also been a big help as well as good old fashioned trial and error. Thanks for having me and I look forward to learning a lot.
