  1. This may help I have a few oldies but keepers, I have found a few manual, here is one. http://parts.singerco.com/IPinstManuals/111W152_153_154_155.pdf I also found some manuals on the Smithsonian Libraries http://www.sil.si.edu/DigitalCollections/Trade-Literature/Sewing-Machines/CF/single-recordonpiece.cfm?CompanyName=Singer%20Manufacturing%20Co.
  2. Need help on selections: Juki 562 about a 1990s top load bobbin (dealer said it was converted to a 563 because of the bigger bobbin) (dealer will add a servo and table, said top load bobbin will handle thicker thread) $950 Seiko walking foot, reverse straight stitch (servo and table) $1395 Adler 267gk-373 1980s model $900 or a new Typical GC0302H $995 I am looking to sew light to medium leathers and upholstery fabric. They all seem to do the same thing, just wondered if older was built better and which one? The Juki has a stitch selector inside the top of machine under a slide cover, seemed tough to move. However not sure how often I would change length while sewing a project? Thanks, for any help on this.
  3. Anyone have info on whether or not I can replace/attach a walking foot to a TACSEW T622R, that does not currently have one on it? **Another note my Aunt is giving me a quote of $900 on the Adler, is that a deal or not? Thanks
  4. On subject of sewing machines, I was able to pick up a Wheeler and Wilson "8" treadle a while back. But on another note: could anyone help on this one. Been talking to my Aunt for a few years on this subject, machine capable of sewing leather and upholstery. She has an Adler 267gk-373, and my other Aunt has a TACSEW T 622R. She recalls having the tables in storage but has the head at home with her. She does not remember much about them except she did some seat cover work and boat covers, just this week said she would be interested in selling to me. Question, which is a better machine for sewing soft furniture leathers and car seat leather/vinyl. Believe they are both walking foot (from what Aunt said), which is what have been told I need. Any help appreciated.
