About Me
I started leather working in the early 2000s to be able to teach to my cub scout den. I progressed from there to learn carving and became a merit badge councilor. I have mostly done wallets and knife sheaths. I put leather work on the backburner around 2012 when I started learning blacksmithing. in 2017 I started volunteering teaching blacksmithing one day a week at my local Vocational Technical High School. Shortly after this I started teaching the Introductory Blacksmithing Class while my mentor moved on to knife making. I tried showing him how to make a sheath and he had some difficulty. He suggested I offer a class and it has filled up quickly. My most recent class really gave a few students the bug so the school wants me to do more so I am back.
