I've only really worked with veg tan but how would you begin to finish these edges? I'm not really sure at all how to finish edges that aren't veg tan. It's a top grain utility hide from Tandy if that helps. Any help is much appreciated!

Hi all, I'm new to leather working and I've really enjoyed it. This is my first wallet and the third time I've carved this design. I know I've made a mistake sewing the entire bottom together making the interior bunch rather than making the interior shorter and leaving some space in the middle (I'm sure I've made more mistakes that I don't realize yet). The exterior is 4-5oz which I'm thinking might be too thick while the interior is 1.5-2oz pigskin. I'd love to get your thoughts on it, all helpful criticism and comments are much appreciated.
