I am new to leatherworking and would like other opinions on different dyes. I only have Tandy, Springfield and Weaver catalogs and they mostly sell Eco Flo (Tandy) and Fiebings. It seems Fiebings may be better but I am not sure. I have not tried any yet. If anyone has their favorites or advice I would appreciate it. Thanks Mark

I am looking for wholesalers who sell 12/13 oz English Bridle or "English" as some other wholesalers call it. I am actually using it for belts. I know of Weaver's but I am not fond of their minimum requirements and yearly amount of 1200.00. I also have read some negative posts on this site concerning the quality of leather from there. I also am aware of Tandy and Springfield as well. If anyone else knows of other sources I would appreciate it. Thanks Mark

I have not seen the Youtube video. Most of what I have seen was made by Sailrite. If you know what the title of the video is or can post a link I would be interested in watching it. I do like the Cowboy machines but they take up too much space for what I have. Thanks Mark -
I am in the process of wanting to buy a portable sewing machine that is capable of sewing a minimum of 7oz leather. I am wanting a portable because space is limited at this time. I am also wanting something that is below 1500.00 as well. I have narrowed my choices down to either the Tippman Boss or the Sailrite LSZ-1. Can anyone give their advice / opinions or their recommendations. I am going to be making holsters / gun belts etc. Oh yeah this will be my first sewing machine and I am new at this whole adventure. Thanks Mark

I would like to know what brand and model of scissors / shears works best for cutting thick leather. I am looking at something that can cut with no difficulty leather greater than 10oz for holster, gun belts, sheaths etc. I know Tandy makes a pro series scissor but they told me it only cuts to 9oz. Any help, advice and opinions are greatly appreciated. Thanks Mark
