About Me
I have enjoyed a 21 year career in the United States Army. During that time I took up leatherwork as a hobby. I was the Cubmaster for my oldest son's cub scout pack. When the cubs are in the fourth and fifth grade they are eligible to receive their wood chit (pocket knife authorization). We had about 10 boys that received their pock knives during my first year, and they all needed sheaths. So as a good Cubmaster, I went to the local Tandy and picked up a dozen pocket knife kits with some basic tools. On a Saturday morning, the boys and I built sheaths. It was a blast and the boys liked it too, except I wanted to do more crafts, and the boys wanted to move on the the next badge. As time went on, I kept working at the skill and began acquiring more tools of the trade. I eventually attended Saddle School in Montana and started my own Saddlery Business in Northeast Wisconsin after military retirement.
