@JHLeatherwood As owner of this intellectual, video and DVD property it wouldn't be illegal for me to post this content on youtube Seeing our production sold with zero benefit or royalties (which is paid to Steve Mecum) we might as well just share on YouTube at least then we would see some monetization benefit from YouTube The other side of the coin, We will not replace scratched or damaged DVD's to non original purchasers but your correct... non owners of original content are prohibited to rip (download or off load) a DVD content and post online is a legal violation

Thank you @burkardt for the link. Very informative. Moving forward... we may as well post the DVD program on YouTube for free viewing

Sorry to inform you but resale of the Steve Mecum DVD's isnt allowed. It's in the users agreement and also printed on each DVD cover "Not for resale"

Hi Jim Here is how I started getting smoother on my lines, and maybe it will help. When I scribe my line with my wing dividers, I go back over that line with a tickler and really get a deep trench so that my swivel knife has a bit of a trench to follow. You still have to take it slow and be careful, the knife will not follow your tickler mark easily but it helped me until I got a lot of practice to where now I don't have to do that. Maybe it might help. The other thing that I started noticing is if my blade starts getting the least bit sticky I strop it. I strop a lot more than I used to. Anyway, I hope that helps you out a bit. side note.... the outside border of a saddle always starts at 5/8ths from the edge. At least thats what I have been taught. Best regards, Keith Valley

Hi Steve, I have been using the Artisan 20" splitter I picked up this spring. The blade might be 20" but there is a guide bar in front of the blade that restricts the largest piece at 17&3/4". I had Chas Weldon over with a box of leather he wanted to split and he said its the best he has tried. It is a good tool, makes me look forward to splitting something. You might give Bob Douglas a call if your looking for a used splitter or Vandy Douglas at Sheridan Leather. But all in all I think the Artisan is a good value for the buck. We'll see how long the blade stays sharp. Best regards, Keith Valley www.CowboySaddlery.com
