  1. as already stated .. no Pfaff 1222 is not a heavy duty leather sewing machine. but it's perhaps one of the strongest home style machine with fairly heavy duty internals. this guy claimed he managed to sew a complete leather car upholstery set. https://youtu.be/FjbtRB0bJvc
  2. tool nut here with a milling machine and lathe but with marginal machining skills. now that I know what optional feet looks like, it shouldn't be a problem to make one. too bad volume involved would probably never justify production? what I'm finding out is if paw is aligned with needle .. no marks are made even if paw misses prior needle hole. paw simply hits top of thread for top feed with out leaving marks .. still in discovery mode but no marks after changing stitch lengths if paw stay in alignment with needle.
  3. thanks for all your hard work posting photos of actual source materials. looked at diagram of 45k 53? not realizing the photos of 45k 52 parts book was on bottom of page
  4. my camera is not too good at taking closeups .. this pic was taken through a lighted magnifier hopefully you can see tracks on leather made when paw is not in alignment with needle. unfortunately I've only got one foot. any source for other sizes?
  5. here's a better pic showing tension on 277 thread .. yes top tension disc are there. you can really tell I'm still figuring out this machine. rear paw with tiny teeth has to be aligned with needle or it will make marks. left shows paw marks .. right has no marks after paw is aligned to needle
  6. here's the stitch length adjustment first finished dog collar with 45k 52
  7. thanks .. seems 45k 52 is completely different than 45k 53 mine has a compound walking foot .. stitch length adjustments on front/side no reverse .. no bottom feed dogs. note WD40 was used to free up a frozen screw using a high grade clear mineral oil
  8. many thanks for the 45k pdf I've got a 45k 52 that I'm trying to figure out ..
