I have used both the chestnut and chocolated drum dyed from Hermann Oak on some gun/Cartridge belts and other projects and haven't noticed any rubbing off tendencies. I haven't used either one on a saddle yet, but I would be very interested in what you determine. Also, the most recent chestnut that I got from Hermann Oak, was much lighter that the previous sides. Has anyone elso noticed this difference? Thanks, Allan

Thanks Keith, I think what I was doing was cutting the notch for the cantle too low. I'll move it back abit and see if that helps me in pulling the ears back into place. Allan

Hi All, I working on my fourth saddle and I have difficulty getting the rear seat buttons at the base of the cantle cut correctly. I normally wind up with the buttons cut to low and can't get them pulled up and back on the bars properlty. Does anyone have any tips/tricks they are willing to share? Thanks, Allan

Hi All, I've recently acquired an old Bossley M4 Rivet/Snap setter. I'm trying to find dies/anvils for this machine without having to have them custom made. Is anyone familiar with it and if so, do you know a source for the dies. Thanks, Allan

yes, you can use sheridan style tools. Sorry for the delay in response, been a busy holiday.
