Yea it's 6/7 for now and after completing it I'm probably going to redo it after this event in 10-13oz on the mares leg part of the rig. The belt is pretty nice at 7 oz from the back cut. I'm considering making a holster for a few of my handguns and may line those with some cheap thin veg tan I have

I am currently working on a few items for some cosplayers and I am using 6/7oz for them. One of the items is a mares leg dead or alive style rig with a 2 and half inch wide belt. How good would the same leather be for general purpose use like standard belts and gun holsters or knife sheaths?

I haven't been to that location but the folks in new Orleans always give me a hand if I call looking for something. (Don't stop in for them to know me by name since its 2 hours away)

TwinOaks, did you ever find out about parts availability? I am trying to decide if one of these machines would be worth investing in to use til I can afford another machine.
