About Me

I’m grew up on horses and rodeo, we now live on a farm in the beautiful PNW

Horses are a such a big part of my everyday life and so is tack, it’s completely necessary in my everyday life. I couldn’t buy custom tack for all of my horses, so why not learn to make it build it-or at least give it a shot?

I’ve been admiring beautiful Sheridan tooling since childhood. I’ve been “artistic” my whole life, then one day I decided to try it out. And...quite a few ugly, and distorted figures, flowers and attempts at Sheridan style later, and here I am-pounding away. Searching for That feeling-the satisfaction of creating the perfect piece. One without error, or one I’m in love with, Does it exist?

I am intrigued by the unique challenges that leather brings, its an incredibly unforgiving medium. I’m dedicated to learning. I want to ultimately create unique, beautiful work that is also functional, durable and comfortable for the horse.

I began making belts, pounding some scrap. Now I’m focusing on halters, bridles, headstalls, and various other equestrian tack. No matter how ugly my mistakes are, my 5 year old somehow finds them, then proudly showcases my screwups.
