Where did you find those at? Ideally I am looking for skin, but that's not a bad deal for a rug!

Hi there! Where can I find buffalo hides - not bison. So far I have only found Springfield as a supplier, but you cannot purchase half or full hides. Do you know of any other suppliers out there? Thanks for the help!

Hi there,
I am looking for suppliers that have a good range of chrome tan and/or dyed veg tan leather hides. Who do you recommend? Thanks!

I've had some interest in some of the goods I've been making. I've already sold 3 bags to friends and some other small items. I am curious about those who have taken to making enough product to attend vendor/art shows exc... what are the steps in becoming an actual business. I don't fully understand the following;
-Wholesale pricing - if you are not paying sales tax on your own purchases, then you charge sales tax on your products? What if not everything you use was purchased wholesale? Maybe I am over thinking this part?
-How do you figure out if you need to charge sales tax?
-Pricing your items to make a profit?
- Any other advice, or resources on what to do... I've never done anything like this before.
Thank you in advance!

Looking for some general advice on working with deer skins....
- What is your preferred method of cutting it?
- Best way to punch holes without stretching it too much?
- What is your favorite way to make lacing out of it?
- Any other tid bits of info would be appreciated!
Thanks a bunch!!

Thank you! I will talk to the Tandy Manager again and that is a great idea on Craig's List. Ill look up those postings right now. I keep hearing that there are some leather workers in Tucson, but its been hard to track them down.

Hello, I am looking for leather works in the Tucson area that might be open to the idea of mentoring me. I am new-ish to leather work but would really love to learn from someone who knows the trade well. If at the very least I would love to make some local connections!
Fieblings Acrylic Dye?
in How Do I Do That?

Has anyone used Fieblings Acrylic Dye, hopefully in Light Blue and could tell me about it? Pictures of the results? I have a customer who wants a light blue bag (I mainly stick to browns when I am dying) and I have no experience with blues. The closest color I can find is Fieblings Acrylic Dye, but I don't know what the results of that would be.....or if you know of another good dye that would yield a light blue color, please let me know! HELP!
