I started working with leather in 2017, as a side note to carving spoons. I needed sheaths for my knives and I wanted a strop, so I went to michaels. Slowly I found that leather molds like clay and be drawn on, shaped, stamped and carved, almost like a print. I majored in printmaking at university, so things evolved quickly from there. I love leatherwork more than any other medium I’ve found.
