    Hello.

Thank you Rockoboy, yes an operators manual would be good but not drastically important as I already know how to use it, I took it apart to find out how it worked lol.

    Hello.

Have just joined up so thought I would introduce myself, I have a fondness for older machine and own a singer 29k, always wanted another sewing machine that was more capable for what I intend to do, so when this singer 45k56 came up for sale I had to grab it, it is a lovely machine and a bonus that I know the history of it. What I don’t know is where to find a manual for it, so in the practical way I usually do things I took it apart a bit to see what the mechanics were, I sort of know a bit more about it’s workings now and have it sewing quite well, I have not cleaned it up as it’s all honest grime and I love the originality of it but will at some point rub an oily cloth over it but that is about all. Thank you for letting me join this great group I have learnt lots already and am enjoying reading the posts and seeing others work, I aspire to one day make something noteworthy.
