Thanks to photos on this forum, I was able to identify the Pearson and Bennion machine that I used for years when I made carriage harness. I still have it. It is a Pearson and Bennion #4. As I was not doing volume production, I never motorized it, but used the original pedals, which gave me plenty of control. It uses the same needles as early Landis machines, fearsome looking things about four inches long---was always careful not to impale myself, and never did. Had to go back to electrical engineering due to aging eyesight, but would like to know more about the machine.
