  1. Great thank you! I will try those additional techniques!
  2. Thank you. I will try that technique!
  3. When edge staining or edge painting, what are you doing to keep from getting paint/stain on the face or backside of the leather? I am using antique gel to stain the edges of my projects and the slightest bit of gel on the face or backside looks so amateur. Any help is appreciated!!
  4. Thank you. It seems if a person wants to get into the retail market, a website is a must.
  5. In your opinion, do you think a business website looks more legit to potential retailers, as opposed to selling your products on Etsy?
  6. I am looking for someone to sew Velcro to the back of 2x3 leather patches for me. I have about 300 to do. Let me know a ballpark price. Thanks!
  7. Thank you for all the feedback. I will pick up a smaller press and add a plate to it and give that a try. Thank you!
  8. Thank you guys. Well, crap. Right now I am using a 30 ton press hooked up to air. It just seems so slowwwww. I had to cut 300 4" coasters and it took forever. I thought something like a manual Weaver would be much faster/efficient. If it is not hooked up to air, seems like you would have to jack the handle about 15 times each cut. No? I am new to this, so I am listening to your advice.
  9. I can't decide between the Weaver 4 Ton or 8 Ton clicker press. I will be clicking 10-11oz leather coasters mostly. Money is a concern, so I am leaning towards the 4 ton, but if the 8 ton will cut the leather better/faster, I will consider spending the extra money. Which do you all recommend?? Thank you for any feedback.
