  5. Has anyone successfully done this conversion? My 145 bobbin case is completely worn out to the point of binding up my machine. Since I have to replace it I figured this would be the time to convert to the bigger bobbin setup. I ordered the 545 bobbin case, cap, base and the opener arm thing. Will I need a 545 saddle that it rides on also? I'm not sure where I would even find that. I may have a new 545 bobbin case for sale cheap in the near future.
  6. Wow... I for one just got an education about my machine. Time to go tune it instead of throw it off a cliff. I'm certain the timing eccentric is one of my issues.
