What you need to look at is whether it has a two or four motion feed dog. If the feed dog moves back, drops down, moves forward and raises up, it is good for some leather sewing. If it only meves forward and backward and doesn't drop, it is a binder machine. A binder machine can still feed unbound material, but the feed motion may shorten the stitch length and won't help feed the material.
I just bought a 335-H3-6/01 and the feed dog moves only forward and backwards it doesn't rises up.
Can it be changed ?

Thank you Eric
All your explanations are a tremendous amount of information valuable for everyone, after all this years I have the opportunity to dig in , it will take a while before can grasp how to use.

Take your time check and oil all moving parts.
Bert.
Thanks

You need to provide more information for someone to be able to help you. What are you sewing, how thick, what needle and thread size? Have you cleaned out around the bobbin and hook? Maybe even a photo or two showing how far through the cycle before it gets hard to turn. Is the needle just starting to rise when it gets hard to turn?
Providing this info and any other oddity that you notice will help others help you.
Tom
Thanks

see if rotation changes. Check belt for obstruction. Remove throat plate to see if hook
rotates normally. If non of these help pull belt off bottom sprocket and rotate upper and
lower shafts to find blockage. Next next next If you are not experienced go no farther and
re post for help if you have found blockage. tx Lynn
Thank you.
