how can i glue, clamp, immobilize the leather while sewing it?

Hello, looking for advice. My husband is doing upholstery work on his car and the fabric he is using is leather but the problem he’s having is while the glue is still drying he needs some kind of clamps or clips so the leather won’t come back up while he’s doing other sections. What does anybody recommend for that type of project?
