Has anyone ever converted this model to a rolling foot? I have a Singer 44-30 which is a shorter bed version of a 31. I have a 153k in my area for sale and I'm wondering if I could drop the rolling foot out of the 44-30 and simply install it into the 153k. @Wizcrafts you might be the best person who could answer this?

This Pfaff 9591 (i think that's the model number?) is in my area. It has reverse and adjustable stitch length. I think it takes the 134-135 needle system. He's asking $1100 for it. @kgg I think you're right, he's asking too much but i think that has to do with the newer servo motor and needle positioning sensor.

There's a Consew 753 in my area that's for sale. I'm not too familiar with this model and I don't often see the older cylinder machines with a rolling foot. It's also been updated with a servo motor and needle positioning sensor. He's asking $1900. I have a Consew 227 that I mainly use to make baseball gloves. It's great for most of the construction but sewing the leather edge binding around really tight rounded corners gets tricky. Sometimes the walking foot scuffs the leather edge binding. I've modified a lefty foot so it doesn't do it as much but I feel like this machine would be a bonus in the workshop. Every glove is made with TEX 135 bonded nylon thread. I have one of these machines and the timing seems off. Can you someone tell me how I adjust the needle bar height? There is pass through hole (in the head) that loosens a machine screw from the connection link to the needle bar. When I back that screw out, the needle bar doesn't have play to adjust. Thank you for any help!

New in my shop is a Singer 111w155 (needle feed). I want to be able use the pictured swing away edge binder on this machine. I work full time at an upholstery shop and only use Pfaff 1245's. These Pfaff has two holes in their cover plates to screw in these edge binders. Does anyone have any suggestions? Should I tap and die in holes? Or, maybe there's aftermarket plates with the existing threaded holes for binders like this? Thank you!

You're spot on - it's a short bed version of the 31's. It's actually the same dimensions as my 95-40. I can swap out heads no problem. The 95-40 takes 88x1 and just by comparing the needles to each other I know 88x1's are not going work. I'm not sure what 31 machines use? 16x87...?

I saw that too and have no idea what that means lol. We'll see if 16x2 work!

Hey everyone! I'm new to the forum. I would appreciate some help! I recently purchased a Singer 44-30. It's intended to do light leather (very light). All I can find online is the parts manual. I'm looking to find the actual manual to confirm needle size. I pulled the existing one out and it reads "BEKA 100/16". I'm assuming that's a 135x7....? Any help would be great.
