Retired after a 40 year career as an IBM Mainframe Computer support technician.  I live in a small rural town located on an actual Island (Bethel Island) in the Sacramento River Delta Region, which is my own little slice of sanity away from the ultra liberal politics and craziness  of the cities... were all "regular" people here in this little town, where it's live and let live and everyone gets along. 

Living in California I hate being stereotyped a being from the land of "fruits and nuts"... there's still a lot of Californian's that are unlike what many out-of-state people think of us. But I can also empathize with them, I also despise how people leave this state due the high cost of living and move to another state, bringing their politics with them and then try to turn the place where they moved to into California.  

Ok, enough of my ranting about California...
