  1. Thank you soo much. I am now wondering if those spring would actually work
  2. Hello there, I am trying to find a replacement "spring/adjuster", not the correct name for the roller presser foot a Singer 45K. I got this presser foot on the machine without the spring on it it was broken off, the screw is still there that should hold it, I have no idea what it looks like to even try and get one made. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you
  3. Yep. I will look into doing just that
  4. A quick progress report, I bit the bullet and tapped the hole out and install a screw size that's is readily available. Included are some pictures. I might get a little handle welded on to the nut at a later date.
  5. Quick progress report. So I decided to bite the bullet and tapped the hole to 3/8 similar thread pitch. Once I timed the machine properly, fingers crossed. I believe I am good
  6. Quick question what are the chances that this machine will sew properly without this bolt to lock the stitch length? Thank you
  7. Soooo 3/8 is a tad too big. I am now left with the idea of tapping the hole with a 3/8 tap. Any thoughts?
  8. A quick progress report 5/16 bolt is a shade too small. Frustrating.
  9. Is the above info enough for you to find the pitch of the screw?
  10. Can find that screw in the manual at all. Would appreciate the info
  11. Greetings everyone, I am try to get the dimensions of the screw that locks the stitch size for a Singer 45K92. Attached is a picture of the screw and nut in question. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks much
  12. A quick update. I was able to reduce by hammering the balance wheel with a rubber mallet. Alot better than it was.
  13. Thank you so much for your kind response. I will be trying that method first thing tomorrow and see how I get on.
  14. Hello there, I have just aquired a Singer 45K92, rust and seized up. I was able to get it going, after a lot of soaking/dismantling and abit of lightly hammering, it is now completely free. I did a quiche respray job, still putting it back but the balance wheel wobbles when I turn it, I believe it must have had a serious drop to bend the main shaft (not sure of the correct name). Is there where I can source one. How difficult is it to disassemble the main shaft for replacement. Thanks much
