About Me

Hi, I am a classic car nut who has a reasonable amount of experience sewing fabric many years ago. Recently, I got out my old Singer walking foot industrial machine (31K47) and gave it a once over and removed the old 1/3hp clutched motor and replaced it with a servo motor, and have completed several bits of work for both my car and other owners of similar cars. I am now looking to use the machine to sew some stowage bags, for car specific tools, out of matching leather to the interior of my car, but have found that the leather pointed needles are no longer made in the size that my machine takes. I joined the forum as I have seen that someone else on the forum has had the exact same issue with the same needle sizes.
