  1. Adler 30-1 serial number 55170. I live in central Texas. Where would be the best place to advertise its sale. The machine sews good it just will now see the larger thread I want. I make knives and make the scabbards like the larger thread guess I’ll continue to hand stitch with the artificial sinew.
  2. Here are some photos on the machine, the model, the hook with the needle all the way up and with the needle all the way down, and one with the bobbin in. May have to do this in several post. Again I can’t take a pic small enough with my iPhone I guess. I put some on a Facebook page I have for my products. It should be the first post in the page I also have a video of the needle and hook operating. Thanks for the help. https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100089744084632&mibextid=LQQJ4d

  4. I got a brothers commercial sewer and I cannot get the bobbin thread to pick up. I think it 69 thread. It was what was in the machine when I got it. I attached a photo of the bobbin and carriage let me know if I have it loaded correctly the bobbin was loaded with the thread coming off counter clockwise. I tried to load a video but it was too big of everything working will try to get a shorter one tomorrow. I want to use this for some canvas work and light leather. Thanks in advance for the help
  5. Well Wizcrafts thats what I got I not now and it’s working just fine thanks to those that helped.
  6. Thank y’all gonna check this out today
  7. I bought an Adler 30-1 got it home and set it up with a # 22 needle and I believe 68 thread. I used this to sew a couple of scabbards fine. I was wanting a heavier thread for these scabbards Put I think it was 277 thread with a # 25 needle. It picked up the bobbin thread fine but sewing it was breaking thread. I Played with the tension too but then noticed the needle was rubbing the hole going into the bobbin. Changed back to a 22 needle and lighter thread and same thing . Don’t see any way to adjust so needle lines up. I pulled the plate out of the way and it is rubbing on the front of the hole in the arm. It has to be something simple, here are a couple of pics
