I have the chance to purchase an Adler 68-RE72 sewing machine for what I feel is a pretty reasonable price. I haven’t been able to find too much information on this machine. How thick of leather can this machine handle? I will mostly be using it for smaller projects like sheathes and stuff under 10 ozs, but I am also currently building a saddle and would like to potentially use it to sew up the skirts. 20-22 ozs. Would this machine do what I need it to? What is a fair price for this machine? Thanks in advance.

Hey, not meaning to high-jack this thread, but looking at buying this exact same model. Just wondering how thick/what weight of leather you would be able to sew with this?
