IGOTKICKZ Report post Posted April 10, 2022 Hello to all...I'm new to shoemaking and in need of a sewing machine...I'll be sewing various materials. As far as the leather is concerned it will vary from 2-5 oz...I know a post bed would be ideal, but i can't justify spending that kind of money on a "hobby" right now...I've found a Pfaff 332 for a reasonable price that looks to be in good condition...Would this be a wise choice? If not what would you recommend for say an 800 dollar budget?...Are parts hard to find for it?...Is it possible to put a drop down edge guide on the machine?...Thanks in advance... shoepatcher Report post Posted April 11, 2022 Household machine. Not heavier enough. Pfaff 335 or a single needle post with roller feed like an old 51w post. They were used a lot in the footwear industry. glenn
