wildrose Report post Posted February 13, 2008 I've been thinning out my significant stuffed animal collection. I went to the 'net to find somewhere to donate them. I was discouraged by the fact that most charities want "new with tags". I did find SAFE (Stuffed Animals for Emergencies), a multi-state group that collects them to give to firemen/etc to give out. Then I found an article about US soldiers in Iraq who give them out to children there. That really touched my heart. No matter what you think of the war, this is a special way to show those children the love only such a toy can provide. If you have some extras you'd like to send along, here is the address: Michael R. Fellenz USACE-GRS APO-AE 09331

They have expressed that it is the little ones, who are the real "sadness" over there.Stephanie
wildrose Report post Posted February 15, 2008 I got my box full out in the mail today. You need to fill out a customs form, but my post office was very helpful with it. I mailed a large box for less than 10.00.
