This is a new creation. A Leather paperweight / Keyholder or bookweight is constructed of 4 layers of durable Badalassi Carlo Nemesis Veg-Tanned Leather.
This paperweight is flattened and weighed leather-like devices. The head and body are filled with lead shots, and the body has a piece of spring steel - combined the device is stiff but also has a bit of flex.

You'll be surprised at just how much of a wallop they pack. It's an old and somewhat nostalgic design.
