Juki LU-1508 needle bar

I have, what I believe to be a very early 1508 that is missing the needle bar thread guide. The one with the small hole at the base of the needle bar. I ordered a Juki one and it does not fit. I wonder if the first early 1508’s had a smaller needle bar? Could someone measure the diameter of their bar and let me know what it is. 
My machine does not have the double top tension adjusters either. Juki has not responded to a couple of emails asking questions about it.

Do you know if that is the same as the 1508N?

Any tension problems that you need the second tensioner?

What size thread do you use?

-Do not know if is the same as the 1508N.  Checked.  It is the same  Part # B1401-053-000.  Check to see if that is your part number on what you ordered.  If generic, return it and order genuine from Juki Dealer

-Second tensioner just makes it easier to adjust the tension

-I use up to #138.  You can run #207 on top I believe.  Use #138 in bottom.
