Members LuisPaulo Posted November 25, 2007 Members Report Posted November 25, 2007 Hi. I'm searching good books about making holsters. I find Al Stolhman titles and a few others at Amazon. Any suggestions ?? Thanks a lot Quote
BruceGibson Posted November 25, 2007 Report Posted November 25, 2007 Luis, If you can find Blue Steel and Gun Leather by John Bianchi it's a great book. It's out of print, but you can usually locate one via the used book websites or Ebay. Quote

Members sheathmaker Posted November 25, 2007 Members Report Posted November 25, 2007 If you are looking for something that will teach you how to make holsters and design your own patterns, then Al Stohlman's "How to Make Holsters" is very hard to beat. It's available 365 days a year from Tandy/Leather Factory. It is well written and full of illustrations as well as some of the more common patterns (for th time it was published). Paul Quote
Members LuisPaulo Posted November 25, 2007 Author Members Report Posted November 25, 2007 (edited) Thanks for information ! Until now, I made some western period insipired holsters (I'll post some photos later), but I want to make some "modern" (Bianchi style) hoslters and I think it is more complicated. I'll buy these books, thank you very much guys !! And about this book ? It seems to be a good source of information about carrying, ergonomy, etc http://www.amazon.com/Holsters-Combat-Conc...3508&sr=1-2 Edited November 25, 2007 by LuisPaulo Quote
