Jamesgentry270 Report post Posted November 29, 2023 Hey guys I just acquired an old Adler 67-372 machine with the table and an old clutch motor. But in its years of sitting in a shed it’s got rusted and stuck. I sprayed it down really good and slowly things started to move but the main shaft on the bottom side isn’t turning. I haven’t removed the bobbin under the needle but I will today. If anyone has a similar experience any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, James
Constabulary Report post Posted November 29, 2023 Take of the V-Belt and try turning it by hand. Or push down the foot pedal cause the clutch motor has a brake .... just guessing w/o having seen the machine setup.
Jamesgentry270 Report post Posted November 29, 2023 It had 2 belts one that went from the head to the motor and it has a smaller shorter belt inside the machine. The long one was dry rotted so I removed it and removed the machine from the table to try to clean it up but I never removed the belt inside the machine. The big pulley turns slightly and it will move the needle up and down but the bottom end shaft won’t turn. Sorry if that don’t make any sense Just now, Jamesgentry270 said: It had 2 belts one that went from the head to the motor and it has a smaller shorter belt inside the machine.
