My Durkopp 239 is not quite right.

Now that I've almost made up my mind to keep the Durkopp flatbed I figure I'll try to get the thing working properly.

It's not holding firm, so that it moves forward and back when sewing. It still sews and you can adjust the stitch length. I thought maybe a bit more pressure on the presser foot but it's already marking the leather.Thought I'd ask before I go down the rabbit hole in case someone knows the fix. Please. TIA

If there's any machine geniuses in the Kent UK area who'll come out I'll gladly pay a reasonable fee.
