SmokeEater Report post Posted June 21 Hafa Adai! (Greetings in Chamorro. The people and language of the Marianas) My name is Drew and as a firefighter by profession, leather is a tradition in the fire service going way back. I started leathercraft this year to make gifts for my crew that I usually buy from off-island. I figured why not give it a shot and see if I can make something for the guys. Been on Google and YouTube soaking up as much knowledge as I can. I'm glad I found an active community here that genuinely likes to help each other out. Hoping to pick your brains and eventually start producing the awesome crafts I've seen posted. Thank you.
toxo Report post Posted June 21 Welcome. I won't make the joke about having a big trench handy for the stuff that goes wrong. I'm sure that, like me, after you've soaked up some learning you'll be happy to give it back to someone else down the line the same as the rest of us. Mablung Report post Posted June 21 Greetings and welcome. You can ask all sorts of questions and get helpful answers here. There are some things specific to firefighters that others have made, like radio straps, that showcase some neat work. Looking forward to seeing yours!
