Members Nicole82 Posted September 30, 2024 Members Report Posted September 30, 2024 I used Effax balm and now my bag is sticky and stiff. It was soft and flexible. Can this be fixed? Thanks! Quote
Members SUP Posted September 30, 2024 Members Report Posted September 30, 2024 Have you tried cleaning it with saddle soap to get off the excess? Quote
Members Nicole82 Posted September 30, 2024 Author Members Report Posted September 30, 2024 No, is there a particular way to do that and type of saddle soap? Quote
Members SUP Posted September 30, 2024 Members Report Posted September 30, 2024 Just ordinary saddle soap. You should get it in any leather store or on Amazon. I have no idea which country you are from, so cannot suggest a store Quote

Members TomE Posted September 30, 2024 Members Report Posted September 30, 2024 I haven't had that outcome with Effax Leder Balsam, but it does happen with Blackrock Leather N' Rich conditioner. I buff repeatedly with a soft cloth, and finish with a soft brush for polishing shoes. Applying some heat with a hair dryer might improve penetration into the leather so there's less buildup on the surface. Quote
