Members kgolden Posted February 14 Members Report Posted February 14 I have just dyed a purse with All in One. Before dyeing I conditioned it with Fiebing's Leather Balm with Atom Wax, but now I think I didn't condition enough. Can I re-condition after it dries? Do I repeat the Leather Balm? I also have their Saddle Oil with silicone and lanolin, and some liquid mink oil. Advice would be very appreciated. Quote
Members SUP Posted February 14 Members Report Posted February 14 If you are happy with the dyeing, now would be the time to use the Balm with atom wax. Atom wax contains mainly Carnauba wax which forms a protective, water resistant layer and gives a shine to the leather. So it is a finishing balm. Is there any specific reason why you conditioned with Atom wax before dyeing? Before dyeing, neatsfoot oil is normally used and it works well. Quote

Members SUP Posted February 14 Members Report Posted February 14 (edited) Eco-flo is notorious for transferring, so cannot say. Diluted Resolene or something similar, with buffing, might help, before you use the balm. Buff until there is no more transfer onto your buffer. Edited February 14 by SUP Quote
