Clip attached to holster IWB

Just got a call from a guy that ordered a IWB holster and clip. He actually wants the clip attached to holster and both IWB. I probably should have refused it but, the only reason I could tell him was that it would not be comfortable.

Anyone have experience with this (good or bad)?

I have'nt tried it yet but have seen photos of holsters with an integrated magazine, space would be premium as far as layout the magazine would probably need to be slanted away from the pistol kinda like a V shape. Is this what your asking? Would have to be pretty bulky holster. I would say that a double pancake magazine pouch on the other hip would be better that way he could have 3 total

Not exactly. With it IWB, it will be fairly straight up and the clip would go just in front of the action. I may have to try to make one for myself just to experiment.

Experimentation is the mother of invention....oh wait... that was a zappa band wasn't it.LOL I think as long as the two parts don't interfear with each other when you are drawing it should work out. I may just have to make one myself.

Jordan makes a good point. Make sure the front sight won't have any chance of snagging the magazines floor plate.

And don't be afraid to turn down a request if you're not sure about it. You may upset someone by turning them down, but it can be even worse when they have a ridiculous design and they blame you when it doesn't work.

Oh yeah....I have to rib you a little for the title too...

A clip is one of those nifty pieces of spring steel that holds a holster on your belt or pants.

The device that assists in feeding ammunition to the firearm is a magazine. :jump:

Thanks for the tips. I've worked over and over the design. I've decided to add a snap just forward of the 2 belt loops. The clip will snap on there and have a belt loop of its own. I think he'll not want to keep the clip snapped to the holster but, it will be where he wants it.
