how much leather to buy for a 9"x13" solo seat

Hey All

I'm needing to know which weight and how much leather to buy for a 9"x13" solo seat( like they sell on e-bay the cheap ones $30-$40)?The reason is I'm wanting to do one for the group I ride with to hang on the wall where we hang out.Any anfo would be greatly appreciated.

I use 5-6 oz on top, & bottom if I use Davids method. If I wet form it I use 5-6 on top, & 3-4 for the sides. You can find tutorials on both ways here. Davids is called "Jesus seat one day at a time" I think, and involves a more complicated lacing. Beeza did a tutorial on wet molding a seat also. Just do a search & you should find both tutorials.

Just for a demo type seat you can use 5/6 OZ, and you would need about 3 sq. ft. Be sure to post pics when your done.
