Help Wanted: Need Leather Prototype Made from Tech Pack + Patterns

Hi everyone,

I’m working on a high-end leather bag project and looking for someone with experience to help me create a leather prototype. I already have:
    •    A salpa mockup
    •    Digital and paper patterns
    •    A full tech pack with specs
    •    Photos and visual references of the intended final shape

I’m now looking for a leatherworker or small shop (anywhere in the world) who can:
    •    Turn these assets into a clean, structured leather prototype
    •    Work with curved, sculptural forms (this is not a slouchy or soft bag)
    •    Handle remote collaboration (I’m based in NYC but open to working with someone anywhere)
    •    Communicate clearly and professionally — this prototype will be shown to factories, press, and buyers

The ideal person is comfortable working from provided patterns and tech specs, can work with firm leather or reinforce shaping where needed, and understands how to translate salpa mockups into final leather builds.

If you’re interested, please DM me or reply here, and I’ll be happy to send more info (photos, mockup images, or specific measurements). A non-disclosure agreement can be issued if needed. Paid project.

Thanks so much!

You might want to define the meaning of the word "salpa" for us old school leather crafters. Since it is a requirement, it will help to mention if you are supplying it and other materials and hardware to your prospective assignees, who will be freelancing to build things for you.
