horsesofcourses5 Report post Posted January 17, 2009 Hi Everyone :-) I am new here, but gotta say I LOVE this site!!! I love any kind of leatherwork, but my fave is saddles. I always wanted to learn, but never have had time, too busy ridin! LOL! Anyways, I have this saddle I bought and would love to hear comments on it. I know nothing about it. I will look for a makers name, but I don't think there is one. I have a few pics I took of it after cleaning and conditioning it, but can take more. Here are the pics. Any info would be appreciated. Bob Report post Posted January 17, 2009 That was my first thoughts too. I hope nobody is offended with this. I agree, this is a mexican saddle with bars made from 2x6's. They may only fit a burro with a really flat back. There's lots of soar backed horses around on account of this kind of saddles. In my humble opinion, give it back to the person who sold it to you. horsesofcourses5 Report post Posted January 18, 2009 Hi There, Thanks for your comments, I appreciate the feedback. And no offence taken at all :-). Hopefully you're wrong, but maybe you're not. I've seen mexican made saddles before, and this one does seem to be a bit better quality than that. However, I am not an expert, so I could be wrong?
